So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good night!
My name is Michael Badnarik, and apparently, I am dead. I am not communicating with you from “the great beyond”. I merely had the foresight to write this while I was still a viable consciousness, and I asked a friend of mine to post this to my website for me after I was gone. This gives me the opportunity to write my OWN eulogy.
If you knew me while I was still warm, you probably noticed that I lived my life by MY rules, and never allowed someone else to dictate what my values were going to be. Now would be a good time to cue Frank Sinatra’s “I did it my way”, which I frequently sang in the shower. It disappoints me to think that this quality made me so unique. I encourage everyone to stop being so submissive, especially to nonsensical government edicts. In short, grow up and “grow a pair”.
The things that I hope I am remembered for are my honesty and integrity. I often told people, “Don’t ask questions that you don’t want the answers to.” It never helps anything to be in denial. My father was a role model for integrity, and my experience in Scouts reinforced the idea that a truly good and respectable man was someone who was trustworthy. I tried very hard never to make promises I couldn’t keep, and I definitely never made any idle threats. Most people could tell by the look in my eyes that I was more than willing to carry out the “negative reinforcement” that I was promising.
From an early age my life was one adventure after another. Scuba diving, sailing, mountain climbing, white water canoeing and rafting. Don’t forget skydiving, but that came later. I was lucky enough to go through life without much fear of anything. Keep in mind that fear is a symptom of ignorance. If you are afraid, the simple solution is to learn as much as you can about that subject. When you know what you are doing, the fear simply goes away.

“It was just so FUN being ME” is something I will never forget Michael saying about his amazing life. I had the honor of having Michael support my campaign for Congress in Colorado and was able to spend this last year hanging out in Texas and not causing near enough trouble for the powers that be. I will be keeping his website active, and working on printing his books for the future, as well as attempting a Constitution Class based off of Michael’s work sometime in the future. I will reach out to you via the email list (which you can sign up on via the website or email me to put you on) if you are interested, and will leave my information as well in case at some point Michael’s becomes inaccessible.

Oh how you’ll be missed, Michael! You were a force of nature and a force to be reckoned with just by being you! God speed, smooth sailing, fair winds and following seas sailor! May the skies be blue and the wind at your back. So glad we got to celebrate you one more time! Rejoice with your parents and brothers and enjoy being with them again! Until we see you again, I hope you know how much you’ll be missed and how grateful we are to have learned from you. With your departure you’ve left a big hole in this world. Via con dios!
It’s sad to think that Michael is gone. He was a friend, a teacher and a fun guy to be around and a good human being. Unfortunately we didn’t get that opportunity as often as I would have liked to hang out together. Rest in Peace my friend. Goodbye for now.
Michael Badnarik you were a good man and it was a pleasure to spend time with you on the few occasions that we were able to hang out, usually after doing something politically related.
In 2004, when you were campaigning for President on ELECTION DAY at Jester Estates polling center at the Lakewood Community center, I had the honor of being physically present as I held a “Todd Baxter for GOP state rep” sign.
I voted for imbecile George W. Bush that year, but I should have voted for you!!

Michael – thanks for the 2 classes on Constitution(paid for one, free after that).
I also took my son. You were a breath of fresh air, “it is good to be King” I think about that many times as I look over my property. I can still see you marching back and forth stating that.
I pray the ones who took your classes will fight to elect those who will fight for our freedoms.
I heard about your passing from a strange direction but glad to know. I didn’t know about your heart problems. May your family be comforted.
I was proud to serve with Michael in the Continental Congress of 2009. He was the President of our Congress and I will always remember him as such. We spoke a week before his passing and his courage in the face of death was inspiring. I am honored to have called him my friend and fellow Patriot.

I had a chance to speak with Michael once or twice when he was doing his radio show back in the day. History, law, firearms, modern politics, Michael was quite the renaissance man. He always made time for people, and unlike most in places of high knowledge and prestige, he was never condescending or patronizing. It’s too bad there aren’t more like him. Like many of his kind, the culture he lived in never did quite appreciate or understand him. Perhaps he was a different kind of man for a different time.
Godspeed, Michael.
Michael you blessed us with your graceful insights during Continental Congress 2009. We served our local and state apparatchiks as advised and watched your videos, spread the word, and brought young and old together several times to personally learn how It’s Good to be King. And most paid in silver!!! It has been a great run … enjoy our fellow patriots and loved ones … we lift you up in light love and peace. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all you continue to do in life and death. See you again soon enough.
Goodbye Michael. It was truly a pleasure conversing with you. It was so easy to get lost in conversation for hours! You had so much knowledge to give and I’m so thankful I got to know you before you passed. Thank you for enlightening all of us. Until we meet again, my friend. I’ll truly miss you.
